I looked into Music Videos and the comarisons that could be had with some shots or scenes we may use in our film. I found this music video, which is for the song Rabbit In Your Headlights by Unkle.
This music video basically gives us hundreds of different ways that we could shoot one of the scenes in our film. The music video consists of a man walking the wrong way on a very busy main road, who gets run over. A lot.
I thought it would be a good video as there are many different ways we would be able to shoot the scene where Carrie and Jared decide to commit suicide together. I like it because it shows the man getting run over in various different ways. Some of them the have obviously used technology to make it look like the car is hitting him head on (as it would be unethical to actually force a man to get himself run over). Others are shown from the point of view of someone driving the car, and from the front of the car, showing the man being hit, and then roll over the top of the car to then land back ontot he busy road.
Were not actually showing Carrie and Jared being run over, just the build up right up to the point of the car hitting them, as we would have access to the technology like the creators of this video obviously had. So, I think the best option for us would be to film from the inside of the front window of a car, so that we could drive up to them as quick as possible without having to actually hit them, then in editing we can create the scene so that the shot is sped up (making it seem faster than when we shot it) and then just before the car 'hits' the couple we could fade to white or black.
